The Cirrus Private Pilot Program is a fully-immersive flight training experience that combines engaging content and coursework with our in-person Cirrus Flight Training Network, consisting of 800+ Cirrus Training Centers (CTCs) and Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilots (CSIPs), ready to help you earn your Private Pilot License in a Cirrus.

Earning your private pilot license allows you to legally operate an aircraft for personal, non-commercial use. With this certification, pilots are trained to independently navigate small aircraft. Training covers aircraft maneuvers, navigation, emergency procedures, and cross-country flight planning.

Cirrus SR20

The Cirrus SR20 is an American composite monoplane built for four or five occupants, and is known for its advanced safety features like the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS). It features a Lycoming engine, typically a 215 hp on newer models, with a maximum cruise speed of around 155 KTAS (knots true airspeed).

Private Pilots License

Starting January 3, 2026

This license permits the holder to act as a pilot of an aircraft and be paid for his/her work.

Cirrus Approach

Starting January 30, 2026

It authorizes fly light, single-engine aircraft as the pilot in command, without supervision.

Aircraft Rental

Starting December 19, 2025

A Class 4 Instructor Rating allows pilots to conduct flight training to issue license permits.
